Overview

Sharp Group Fire & Security Services is actively seeking a dedicated and dependable Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Controller to join their team immediately. This full-time position involves shift work including nights and weekends, based at the Sharp Group office in Dublin.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor alarm activations and respond according to established company protocols.
  • Operate CCTV surveillance systems and coordinate suitable responses.
  • Manage access control systems to maintain security at remote sites.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and specific client guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all incidents and interventions.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, emergency responders, keyholders, and team members.
  • Protect confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Ensure superior customer service throughout all interactions.

Essential Requirements

  • Possession of a PSA (Monitoring) Licence.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
  • Reliable personal transportation.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in PC operation and keyboard use.
  • Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and solid organizational capabilities.
  • Consistent record of punctuality and attendance.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Previous experience in an ARC, Security Operations Centre, or analogous security environment is advantageous but not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Eagerness and aptitude to quickly learn and use various security and safety technologies.
  • Capacity to multitask efficiently within a fast-moving work environment.
  • Maintain composure and exercise sound judgment during emergencies or pressure-filled situations.
  • Strong verbal and problem-solving skills.
