Air Conditioning Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Technician to join our engineering team responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units in residential and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, maintenance, and technical servicing on all electrical and mechanical refrigeration equipment within the hotel, including freezers, refrigerators, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on all air conditioning and refrigeration systems across the hotel premises.
• Monitor functionality and performance of refrigeration components and system operations.
• Inspect and ensure proper operation of door sealing systems in walk-in coolers and freezers, including door gaskets and latches.
• Maintain and verify the effectiveness of defrosting systems and automation in ice machines.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests submitted by various departments.
• Regularly clean fan coil units and air-handling filters to maintain system efficiency.
• Evaluate performance of air conditioning systems and chilled water networks.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and resolve issues related to air conditioning and refrigeration systems and their functions.
• Strictly monitor the release of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) into the environment to comply with regulations.
• Perform overhauls and major repairs of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Regularly check refrigerant and oil levels, ensuring timely management of critical repairs.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Storekeeper regarding the procurement of necessary parts and supplies.
• Execute all tasks in alignment with national technical guidelines and safety standards.
• Operate equipment safely and environmentally responsibly to safeguard the health and safety of guests and staff as well as protect the environment.
• Adhere strictly to the hotel's environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working as an A/C Technician.
• Certification in HVAC or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of air conditioning systems and their mechanical and electrical components.
• Ability to perform tasks both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting issues efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
