Job Summary
This role involves advancing compiler technology with a focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence workloads, particularly working on cutting-edge compiler frameworks to optimize AI operators and improve code generation processes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Enhance MLIR and LLVM frameworks to incorporate support for vector and matrix instruction sets, enabling efficient hardware utilization.
- Design and implement optimization and lowering passes specific to AI operators to improve performance and efficiency.
- Create compiler interfaces that adhere to existing ecosystem standards and conventions to ensure compatibility and integration.
- Integrate autotuning mechanisms and performance modeling tools to optimize compilation and runtime behavior.
- Work closely with runtime and kernel development teams to ensure aligned and efficient code generation strategies across components.
Candidate Requirements
- An academic qualification of at least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages, especially strong skills in C++ or Python.
- Experience or knowledge in compiler infrastructures such as MLIR, LLVM, TVM, or XLA.
- Understanding of integrating custom instructions or CPU/GPU intrinsics within compiler pipelines.
- Familiarity with the workflows involved in lowering AI model graphs to executable code within compiler toolchains.
