Established in 1888, Townsville Grammar School is one of Queensland's original Grammar schools, located in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. Role Overview
The school is seeking a meticulous and professional Admissions Assistant to join the Office of Advancement. This role supports enrolment processes for students from Pre-Prep through Year 12 and assists with administrative tasks related to scholarship and bursary programs. The position is available on a term-time basis with consideration for either full-time or part-time hours and requires an individual who values accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent service delivery to prospective and current families.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing enrolment applications and admissions paperwork efficiently.
- Keeping precise and up-to-date records in the admissions databases and systems.
- Preparing and assembling enrolment information packs.
- Handling scanning, filing, archiving, and managing electronic documents.
- Organizing the Advancement Office storeroom, including supplies like merchandise, promotional items, signage, and stationery.
- Supporting events such as Open Days, information sessions, and enrolment activities.
- Providing administrative assistance for scholarship and bursary initiatives.
- Helping with the creation and distribution of promotional materials.
- Maintaining office supplies and resources.
- Safeguarding the confidentiality and integrity of student and family information.
Candidate Profile
- Prior administrative experience in education, customer service, or a professional office setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience or aptitude in using databases or CRM systems.
- Demonstrated discretion and sound judgement managing sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to delivering professional, responsive service to students, families, staff, and visitors.
