Job description
About Ethos Interactive
Ethos Interactive is a rapidly expanding digital communications group operating across MENA, passionate about the digital landscape and ambitious in delivering impactful concepts. With a dynamic team spanning four offices, Ethos supports prominent brands such as McDonald's, General Motors, and American Express, driven by bold and diverse perspectives.
Role Overview
The Account Executive acts as a pivotal part of the account team, ensuring precise and timely progression of work—managing briefs, approvals, timelines, and maintaining clear documentation. This role focuses on supporting and executing tasks, without responsibility for client strategy or budgets, which are handled by more senior team members. Prompt escalation of issues is essential to avoid risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain updated account records including status reports, contact logs, work-in-progress trackers, and approval documentation.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of the client's brand, product range, market category, and marketing calendar.
- Keep internal teams informed about any alterations to briefs, schedules, or deliverables.
- Alert the Account Manager immediately upon identifying risks related to timelines, budgets, or quality.
- Consistently apply agency processes and suggest improvements for repetitive or error-prone steps.
- Act as the primary contact for routine client inquiries, responding promptly and professionally.
- Attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and circulate accurate summaries within the agreed timeframe.
- Communicate clearly and courteously to represent the agency positively.
- Collect inputs for strategic initiatives including competitor insights, market trends, platform updates, and cultural moments.
- Prepare research materials, reference presentations, and case studies to support briefs and pitches.
- Participate actively in brainstorming sessions with informed viewpoints.
- Gain familiarity with client audience profiles, brand guidelines, and preferred communication tones.
- Build good relationships with junior and mid-level client representatives.
- Refer any commercial, sensitive, or strategic matters to the Account Manager instead of resolving independently.
- Create clear internal briefs and confirm completeness before commencing work.
- Manage workflow through creative, content, production, and media teams while following up on feedback and approvals.
- Draft preliminary estimates and cost sheets for Account Manager approval.
- Raise and monitor purchase orders, chase supplier invoices, and maintain documentation.
- Ensure accuracy and currency of job numbers, budget trackers, and billing records.
- Complete timesheets punctually and accurately.
- Avoid committing agency resources without prior Account Manager approval.
- Support day-to-day production tasks such as call sheets, scheduling, asset collection, version control, file naming, and delivery.
- Confirm final assets adhere to platform specifications, brand standards, and legal or regulatory requirements.
- Maintain version control and archive assets correctly.
- Extract performance data from tools like Emplifi, Talkwalker, Social Insider, and native platform insights to compile reporting templates.
- Prepare initial performance reports for Account Manager review and progressively include insights beyond raw numbers.
- Monitor live campaigns to promptly identify and report any irregularities like delivery problems or unusual comment activity.
Success Criteria
- Produce error-free work that requires no rechecking.
- Meet all deadlines reliably and communicate risks early.
- Proactively anticipate next steps and propose solutions rather than waiting for instructions.
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn and stay updated on client businesses, digital platforms, content formats, and trends.
- Collaborate effectively with creative, production, and media teams through organized and clear communication.
- Maintain composure and professionalism under tight deadlines and accept feedback constructively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related disciplines.
- Between zero and three years of experience in agency, marketing, or communications environments; internships are acceptable.
- Strong command of written and spoken English; Arabic proficiency is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint (or Keynote) and Excel (or Sheets) and adaptability to learn reporting and project management tools.
- Marketing knowledge of social media platforms beyond basic user experience.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Career Progression
- Demonstrate capability to independently manage daily workflow on projects.
- Shift from reporting performance data to interpreting and providing insights.
- Build trust with client contacts who seek your guidance directly.
- Produce well-constructed estimates and timelines requiring minimal corrections.
- Provide comprehensive creative briefs aligned with strategic objectives ensuring targeted outcomes.
