Packing Machine Operator

Job Overview

Amartex Industries Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Packing Machine Operator to manage and oversee packaging machinery operations, ensuring accurate and quality product packaging along with efficient production flow. This full-time role is based in Dera Bassi, Chandigarh area.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise packing and packaging machines according to production demands.
• Adjust machine settings and parameters as needed during production.
• Ensure products are correctly filled, sealed, labeled, weighed, and packed.
• Inspect packed goods for quality standards including quantity, weight, and packaging flaws.
• Maintain steady production processes while minimizing machine downtime.
• Conduct basic cleaning and routine upkeep of the machines.
• Promptly report any mechanical malfunctions or technical problems to the maintenance or supervisory team.
• Keep accurate records of production and packing operations.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, hygiene standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate effectively with departments such as Production, Quality Control, and Warehouse.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of the packing work area.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in operating packing or packaging machinery.
• Basic mechanical knowledge related to machine operations and troubleshooting.
• Ability to comprehend production guidelines and follow SOPs carefully.
• Keen observation and capability in quality inspection.
• Availability and capability to work in a shift-based production environment.
• Physically fit to perform tasks on the factory floor.
• Strong teamwork spirit and discipline.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in FMCG, food processing, packaging, or manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with pouch packing, filling and sealing machines.
• Hands-on experience with both automatic and semiautomatic packing machines.

Education

ITI diploma is preferred for candidates.
