Job description

Overview

The role of QC In-charge at Amartex Industries Limited involves overseeing the daily quality control operations within the manufacturing facility dealing with FMCG products. This position requires managing various quality checks from raw materials to finished goods to maintain high-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily activities related to quality control throughout the manufacturing unit.
  • Inspect and either approve or reject incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products based on set quality specifications.
  • Oversee and conduct necessary physical, chemical, microbiological, and sensory tests as relevant to the product.
  • Monitor in-process quality indicators ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and product specifications.
  • Maintain comprehensive QC records including test reports, certificates of analysis, inspection reports, and batch documents.
  • Investigate any quality deviations, customer complaints, non-conformities, and product failures, implementing corrective and preventive actions accordingly.
  • Liaise with departments such as Production, Research & Development, Stores, Purchasing, and Maintenance to address and resolve quality concerns.
  • Ensure systematic sampling, testing, retention of samples, and authorized release of finished batches.
  • Maintain plant hygiene, sanitation, good manufacturing and hygiene practices complying with food safety requirements.
  • Ensure all laboratory instruments and testing equipment are calibrated and well-maintained.
  • Manage laboratory consumables including chemicals, reagents, glassware, standards, and testing materials.
  • Conduct internal inspections and quality audits, and support audits by external bodies, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, and ISO relevant to the product category.
  • Provide training to QC personnel and production staff on quality standards, procedures, hygiene, and food-safety protocols.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports and management information systems documents for executive review.
  • Identify and promote initiatives for process enhancements, reduction of defects, and optimization of quality costs.
  • Guarantee thorough documentation and traceability of all activities pertaining to quality.
