Internship Overview
We seek a Travel & Experiential Sales Intern who can convert genuine traveler interest into bookings by engaging directly with prospective clients. This role involves understanding traveler preferences, proposing the most fitting Jetlagged experiences, and managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to confirmed booking. Unlike traditional cold-calling roles, our leads come through targeted marketing, and you will nurture these interested individuals with authentic communication, addressing objections, and applying smart follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound travel inquiries originating from performance marketing efforts.
- Engage potential travelers through calls to comprehend their interests, travel needs, budgets, and preferences.
- Suggest appropriate Jetlagged trips tailored to customer requirements.
- Own leads throughout the sales process, ensuring smooth conversion from inquiry to booking.
- Conduct timely follow-ups via calls, WhatsApp, and emails during decision-making phases.
- Address customer queries related to pricing, itinerary, inclusions, logistics, and overall experience.
- Convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings using consultative selling methods and effective communication.
- Collaborate with operations and trip teams to provide customers with precise and current information.
- Maintain detailed records of leads, follow-up actions, and sales progress.
- Monitor personal sales metrics and strive to achieve monthly conversion goals.
- Analyze common objections and client feedback to recommend improvements in the sales process.
- Contribute ideas for enhancing lead qualification, follow-up strategies, customer engagement, and conversion rates.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in sales or business development; freshers are not eligible.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence in handling sales conversations over phone.
- Fluency in spoken English; knowledge of Hindi is a plus.
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions beyond scripted pitches.
- Strong discipline in follow-ups and capability to handle multiple leads simultaneously.
- Comfortable managing objections and negotiating effectively.
- Proven skills in persuasion and building customer relationships.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Sheets, WhatsApp, email, and CRM or lead management software.
- Target-driven mindset with focus on conversion achievements.
- High sense of ownership and accountability for assigned leads.
- Interest in travel, sports, events, and experiential offerings.
Additional Details and Terms
- This internship is remote, full-time, and requires working hours from 10 AM to 7 PM.
- Work involves weekends to align with sales cycles, with flexibility to take one weekday off between Monday and Thursday after coordination.
- Internship duration is 6 months starting immediately.
- The stipend ranges from ₹12,000 to ₹15,000 per month, including a fixed pay of ₹10,000 plus incentives from ₹2,000 to ₹5,000 depending on sales performance.
- Selected interns receive a certificate and letter of recommendation upon completion.
- The role demands regular communication with potential clients through phone calls, WhatsApp, and emails.
- Interns will have five working days per week.
