Position Overview
Elekta Medical Systems India, a division of Elekta AB specializing in radiation oncology and neurosurgery solutions, invites applications for a Field Service Internship based out of Chennai, with openings also available in Hyderabad and Bangalore. This internship offers an immersive experience into field servicing of Elekta's medical equipment within India and adjacent regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain comprehensive understanding of Elekta’s range of products marketed and serviced in India.
- Develop skills in field servicing techniques including adherence to radiation safety protocols.
- Analyze system logs and reports generated by Elekta equipment to troubleshoot and optimize performance.
- Familiarize with remote connectivity systems and remote servicing procedures.
- Participate in routine preventive maintenance activities under guidance as part of the service team.
- Understand and interpret key service performance indicators (KPIs) and assess regional service quality.
- Observe and support predictive and proactive servicing activities on specific medical modalities.
- Learn and assist with the Field Change Order (FCO) process and support timely resolution of service cases.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to aid servicing tasks.
- Witness patient treatment workflows at clinical sites to appreciate end-user environment.
- Understand and assist in parts ordering and inventory control practices.
- Execute basic service tasks under supervision of senior engineers.
- Demonstrate Elekta’s core values by maintaining high compliance and integrity standards.
- Strictly follow Elekta’s policies, directives, and procedural guidelines ensuring organizational and legal compliance.
