Eklavya is an innovative children's learning platform that integrates educational games, interactive content, and augmented reality to make education engaging and easily accessible to learners. We are seeking an intern to contribute to the creation and enhancement of interactive 3D characters, objects, and environments tailored for our mobile application. The role involves tasks such as modeling, rigging, animating, optimizing, and testing AR-compatible assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design or improve stylized, child-friendly 3D characters, objects, and environmental assets.
- Rig characters and develop animations like walking, waving, speaking, writing, and profession-related actions.
- Address issues in existing models including rigging, textures, scale, orientation, and animations.
- Utilize software such as Blender, Mixamo, Meshy, Tripo, or equivalent platforms.
- Export assets into mobile-friendly formats, primarily GLB or GLTF.
- Optimize polygon counts, textures, materials, and animation sizes while managing overall file size.
- Ensure proper rendering on both Android and iOS devices.
- Test assets in AR environments using tools like Scene Viewer, Quick Look, or similar frameworks.
- Maintain consistent asset naming, scaling, animations, and export practices.
- Document workflows and keep the asset library organized.
- Explore AI-powered 3D modeling and animation tools to enhance production efficiency.
Candidate Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be available for a remote internship lasting three months.
- Start the internship between August 11, 2026, and September 15, 2026.
- Possess skills and interests relevant to 3D modeling and AR development.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Basic proficiency with Blender or another 3D modeling software.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation.
- Familiarity with common 3D file formats such as GLB, glTF, and FBX.
- Ability to optimize digital assets for mobile and real-time rendering contexts.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning through experimentation.
- Ownership of a laptop suitable for running 3D software.
- Experience with platforms like Mixamo, Meshy, Tripo, Unity, Unreal Engine, or Three.js.
- Knowledge of AR development frameworks such as ARCore, ARKit, and WebAR.
- Experience creating stylized or cartoon-like assets for children’s content.
- Familiarity with animation techniques including blending, skeletal animations, shape keys, and texture baking.
- A portfolio showcasing 3D models, animations, AR projects, or related work.
Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly stipend ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹7,000.
