Head – Technical Training & Placements

About the Role

We are seeking a driven Head for Technical Training & Placements to lead and elevate student development into industry-ready professionals. This role carries full ownership of the student journey, from ensuring training excellence to securing student placements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and performance evaluation for all technical trainers and faculty staff.
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality classroom instruction, hands-on learning, assignments, and project-centric education.
• Design training roadmaps, execute curriculum plans, and track educational outcomes.
• Manage the Training & Placement team to optimize placement rates for students.
• Develop and sustain strong partnerships with companies, HR teams, recruiters, and corporate entities.
• Coordinate placement activities including campus hiring drives, corporate visits, and recruitment events.
• Lead mock interviews, resume workshops, aptitude training, and programs to prepare students for placements.
• Enhance student engagement, satisfaction, retention, and generate positive feedback and referrals.
• Monitor faculty effectiveness, student attendance, performance assessments, and placement key performance indicators.
• Promote ongoing improvement in academic quality, placement achievements, and overall student experience.
• Collaborate closely with Admissions, Marketing, Student Success, and Academic departments to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, or related technical discipline.
• 5 to 10+ years in technical training, academic leadership, placements, or education technology sectors.
• Proven experience managing technical faculty and training teams effectively.
• Strong aptitude in building corporate networks and industry relationships.
• Insight into current hiring trends, placement strategies, and employer requirements.
• Skilled in conducting mock interviews, providing career counseling, and student mentoring.
• Capable of overseeing academic operations including KPIs, reporting, and team performance evaluation.
• Proactive, data-driven approach with a genuine dedication to fostering student career success.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Background working in EdTech, training institutes, engineering colleges, or universities.
• Familiarity with emerging technology areas such as AI, data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing, full stack development, or software engineering.
• Track record of enhancing placement outcomes, student achievements, or academic quality.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary package commensurate with experience, ₹5,00,000 to ₹8,00,000 annually, negotiable for the ideal candidate.
