Job description
Role Summary
This position is for a Document Preparation Officer focused on handling and processing lower-complexity banking documents in a mid-office and operations setting. Previous experience in business banking is not a requirement, making it suitable for candidates from diverse backgrounds including hospitality.
Work Schedule and Location
The role is based in Redfern, Sydney, with working hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Initially, full-time onsite attendance is mandatory during the training and competency development phase. After achieving competency, there is an opportunity to shift to a hybrid schedule with two days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review banking documents utilizing a predetermined set of templates.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams who interface between the business and customers.
- Ensure documentation accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.
- Manage content-intensive tasks demanding high attention to detail and precision.
- No direct engagement with customers is required in this role.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in business banking or financial services is not necessary.
- Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
- Applicants should exhibit eagerness to learn, maintain a positive demeanor, and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously.
- Self-driven individuals are preferred as the role does not suit those seeking environments akin to call centers.
Training and Onboarding
- A detailed onboarding and training program will be provided.
- Initial classroom-style training will be conducted onsite with team leader presence.
- Continuous support is available from a dedicated team, coach, and Subject Matter Experts.
- Training steps involve familiarising with role content and processes, shadowed application processing, and ultimately independent processing with quality checks.
- All work undergoes quality review, and candidates must complete ten flawless documents before independent operation is authorized.
