Job description
Role Overview
Join an innovative proprietary trading firm focused on creating the next generation of low-latency trading infrastructure spanning both on-chain and off-chain markets. We are seeking a highly capable Technical Lead to oversee the architecture, engineering, and delivery of the firm's core trading platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of a new, high-performance trading platform from the ground up.
- Take full ownership of system architecture covering market data, trade execution, risk management, and infrastructure areas.
- Address challenging performance, scalability, and latency issues in a low-latency trading environment.
- Write and critically review production-level code to ensure robustness and efficiency.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team comprising elite Software Engineers, DevOps professionals, and Architects.
- Collaborate closely with traders and quantitative analysts to translate trading strategies into effective technological solutions.
- Drive the adoption of best engineering practices including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Lead efforts to build an AI-native engineering culture, innovating how software is designed, built, and deployed.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive, hands-on experience in designing and developing low-latency high-frequency trading (HFT) systems.
- Strong programming expertise in C++, Rust, or comparable high-performance languages.
- Thorough knowledge of trading infrastructure components ranging from market data acquisition, order execution, to risk management.
- Proven leadership history managing and growing high-performing engineering teams.
- Demonstrated success in addressing complex performance and latency challenges in HFT environments.
- Ability and commitment to make significant architectural decisions and own their technical outcomes.
