About Sapphire

Sapphire, a collaboration between Alat (a Public Investment Fund company) and SoftBank Group, operates within the Special Integrated Logistical Zone (SILZ) in Riyadh. It specializes in manufacturing industrial robots that drive next-generation automation and intelligent manufacturing.

Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer for Facility Management will lead and assure the technical soundness and operational dependability of all electrical systems within the facility. This includes systems such as Switchgear, UPS, Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and the Main Distribution Panels (MDP). The role involves auditing contracts, managing budgets, enforcing maintenance protocols, and planning the lifecycle of assets. It further includes ensuring compliance with KPIs, verifying qualifications of on-site technical staff, managing spare parts to meet critical demands, and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead oversight for technical integrity and dependability of facility electrical infrastructures including Switchgear, UPS, Solar PV, BESS, and MDP.
  • Maintain critical spare parts inventory with regular checks to uphold minimum stock levels for swift technical response.
  • Perform thorough auditing of department contracts ensuring accuracy in management, reconciliation of invoices, and enforcement of penalty stipulations.
  • Assess qualifications and technical abilities of service providers' employees and systems specialists present onsite.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing and updating SOPs and EOPs in line with facility upgrades and operational needs.
  • Implement maintenance standards guided by the SFG20 industry benchmark and ensure tasks adhere to the asset-specific operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Plan asset lifecycle management focusing on CAPEX and OPEX, with an emphasis on sustainability and business continuity.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with KPIs by evaluating performance data extracted from Building Management Systems (BMS) and Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems.
  • Audit preventative maintenance schedules to guarantee alignment with SFG20 standards and approved maintenance manuals to sustain system reliability and warranty compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory; a Master's degree in Facilities Management is advantageous.
  • Facility Management Professional (FMP) certification is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in Facilities Management is necessary.
