Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and diligent Kitchen Staff / Helper to join our kitchen team. The primary responsibility includes assisting the Head Chef and other cooks in food preparation and ensuring the kitchen remains clean and hygienic at all times.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Washing, peeling, and properly cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Mise-en-place: Preparing spices, ingredients, and catering supplies in advance to support the chef.
- Basic Cooking Support: Assisting with simple cooking tasks such as preparing sauces or operating fryers and ovens when needed.
- Kitchen Cleaning and Hygiene: Thoroughly washing and sanitizing all dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Workstation Maintenance: Keeping personal work areas, cutting boards, and counters clean to prevent cross-contamination.
- Deep Cleaning: Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors regularly, and emptying trash bins routinely.
