Role Overview
The Restaurant Captain is responsible for ensuring an exceptional dining experience by warmly greeting guests, guiding them to their tables, and assisting with menu selections. This role involves managing floor staff effectively to maintain seamless service flow and fast response times.
Key Duties
- Welcome guests with a friendly smile and escort them to their designated tables.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the menu to recommend popular dishes and take orders accurately.
- Oversee the work of waiters and other floor staff to eliminate service delays.
- Engage with guests during their meal to collect feedback and handle any complaints promptly and courteously.
- Encourage additional sales by suggesting desserts or special beverages and ensure smooth billing operations.
- Regularly inspect the dining area and tables to confirm cleanliness and proper arrangement.
