Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bevel Operator to join our manufacturing department in Brampton, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and running beveling machines, ensuring metal parts are prepared precisely according to engineering designs and manufacturing standards while prioritizing safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up beveling machines and accurately operate them to create bevels on metal components.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to guide operations.
- Use precision tools such as calipers, protractors, and angle gauges to measure and inspect finished pieces.
- Adjust machine configurations to comply with production targets and maintain quality standards.
- Safely load and unload materials during the manufacturing process.
- Remove burrs and properly prepare parts for subsequent welding or fabrication stages.
- Monitor and report machine conditions and malfunctions for timely troubleshooting.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols.
- Keep the workspace clean and well-organized.
- Accurately maintain production documentation as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operating beveling or similar metalworking machinery.
- Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency with precision measuring devices.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
- Physical ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs (approximately 23 kg).
- Comfortable standing for prolonged periods during shifts.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Wearing steel-toed safety footwear is mandatory.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.
