About the Role

Join Alstom and contribute to the future of greener, smarter mobility globally. As a Material Planner based in Riyadh, you will be integral to ensuring material availability and refining inventory management to support project success. Collaborate closely with teams spanning procurement, engineering, and finance, analyzing inventory trends, and contributing to material strategy improvements and engineering change management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Work Package Owner for Procurement to secure Material Milestone achievements in line with quality, cost, and delivery commitments.
  • Evaluate inventory consumption to spot trends and identify improvement areas.
  • Develop parameters for implementing material planning and batch strategies.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at reducing inventory levels and enhancing cash flow.
  • Generate purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to guarantee delivery deadlines are met.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to align material planning with overall project goals.
  • Engage actively in the Engineering Change Committee to plan effectively for material changes.
  • Classify materials using typologies such as ABC classification to determine planning tactics supporting project replenishment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of supply chain methodologies, inventory optimization, and procurement practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and inform decisions.
  • Knowledge of material planning, inventory control, and procurement workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
