The Freight Broker position based in Sector 74, Mohali involves managing freight transportation across the United States. The role requires coordinating shipments between shippers and carriers, negotiating freight rates, and ensuring timely delivery while fostering robust business relationships.

Primary Duties

• Coordinate shipment activities between shippers and carriers.
• Develop and maintain a dependable network of carriers.
• Negotiate freight rates and contract terms effectively.
• Monitor shipments continuously and address any logistical problems.
• Provide regular updates and maintain communication with customers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. transportation laws and regulations.
• Keep thorough documentation and generate accurate reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months' experience in freight brokerage or logistics within the U.S. market.
• Comprehensive understanding of freight handling procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
• Willingness and capability to work night shifts during a fast-moving, demanding schedule (5:30 PM to 2:30 AM).
• Experience using load boards, freight management systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
