About the Role
Oreti Aggregates, located at Oreti Beach in Invercargill, is searching for a full-time Administration Coordinator to manage day-to-day office operations from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position is vital for maintaining smooth workflow in an active aggregates production and export environment. Unlike traditional office administration roles, this job involves working alongside machinery, truck drivers, and managing international shipping logistics in a hands-on setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate export orders, including preparation of shipping paperwork and arranging freight.
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness to meet strict shipping deadlines.
- Operate the site weighbridge for processing shipments.
- Manage invoicing processes and complete monthly reporting tasks.
- Greet and assist drivers and customers, managing fluctuating daily truck volumes.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses extensive experience in administration roles.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and organize priorities effectively.
- Exhibits high levels of organization, dependability, and attention to detail.
- Handles task interruptions gracefully without losing focus.
- Communicates effectively with diverse individuals.
- Is comfortable working in a direct and practical environment.
- Brings energy, resilience, and a good sense of humor to the team.
Preferred Experience and Training
Previous experience in transport, logistics, construction, or infrastructure sectors is advantageous, although comprehensive training will be provided in shipping procedures, invoicing, and weighbridge operation systems.
Work Environment
This role is based at a busy gravel site featuring machinery operations and a continuous flow of truck traffic. New office facilities are under development on-site. The team ethos is close-knit, offering a role with variety and the tangible reward of contributing directly to essential business operations.
