Role Overview

Join Selwyn District Council's Arts, Culture, and Lifelong Learning team as a Learning and Programme Coordinator to advance meaningful learning initiatives, manage data insights, and strengthen organisational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a crucial role in coordinating lifelong learning programmes across the library and service centre network, collaborating with community experts and supporting team capacity to ensure delivery of innovative and relevant programmes.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Rolleston at Te Ara Ātea, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm, with occasional evenings and weekends. Flexibility is required to work at different facilities within the district, including Lincoln, Leeston, and Darfield locations.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 3-4 years in the Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM) or learning sectors.
• Proven skills in coaching and mentoring individuals and groups.
• Strong digital skills with proficiency in various digital platforms and systems.
• Excellent communication abilities to engage diverse audiences effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong problem-solving and creativity.
• Committed to and knowledgeable about Te Tiriti o Waitangi, applying its principles in practice.
