About the Team
The APAC & EMEA Cards team manages the processing of hundreds of billions of dollars in card transactions yearly, enabling payments acceptance across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. As Engineering Manager, you will expand Stripe’s payment network reach and enhance the card payment experience within these regions.
Role Overview
You will make key strategic, product, and technical decisions to drive Stripe’s card payments capabilities. The team's systems empower users to integrate once with Stripe and accept payments globally across numerous card networks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Stripe leadership to define the card payments strategy for APAC & EMEA.
- Develop and mentor engineers, aiding their career advancement.
- Enable the engineering team to maintain high standards of productivity, system reliability, and simplicity.
- Manage team processes to optimize performance and cross-functional collaboration.
- Participate in company-wide engineering initiatives as part of Stripe’s management team.
- Partner with recruiting to attract and onboard outstanding engineering talent.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Seven or more years in software engineering roles.
- Proven track record delivering complex projects and initiatives.
- Experience recruiting and building diverse, high-performing teams.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background with payments-related products.
- Experience working in global, cross-regional environments.
- Familiarity with using AI tools to enhance team performance and quality.
Onsite Work Expectations
Employees are typically expected to spend at least 50% of their working time each month in their local office or engaging with users. Specific in-office expectations vary by role, team, and location and will be discussed by the hiring manager.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary for this role in Singapore ranges between SGD 244000 and SGD 366000, subject to adjustment based on location, experience, and qualifications. For sales positions, this refers to On Target Earnings including base and commissions. Additional compensation may include equity, bonuses, retirement plans, health coverage, and wellness benefits. Exact details can be discussed during the interview process.
