Job Summary

We are looking for a proficient Embedded Software Engineer to join our innovative team. The role involves designing and optimizing embedded systems software, primarily targeting RTOS and Linux platforms. The engineer will develop solutions for ARM Cortex-based SoCs and microcontrollers while managing diverse peripherals to ensure system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and maintain embedded software utilizing C and C++ for ARM Cortex A7/A8/A9 SoCs as well as ARM Cortex M0/M4, PIC, TI MSP430, and Atmel microcontrollers.
  • Apply expertise in Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and Linux environments to create dependable embedded applications.
  • Interface with and manage peripherals such as Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, Video, Audio, WiFi, and Bluetooth to enhance system functions.
  • Participate in software architecture decisions, contribute to maintainable and scalable code development, including device driver creation, Board Support Package porting, and boot loader implementation.
  • Design and refine algorithms to optimize overall system performance and resource efficiency.
  • Analyze and improve software efficiency using best practices tailored for embedded systems.
  • Document software design and implementations comprehensively and collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring technical information is accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Employ strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve complex technical challenges throughout the development process.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in embedded software development focusing on ARM architectures.
  • Proficient in C and C++ programming languages.
  • Deep understanding of hardware-software integration and peripheral device management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present technical data clearly.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving competencies.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development frameworks.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
  • Awareness of safety standards including ISO 26262 or DO-178C is advantageous.
