Location Overview

Established in 1962, The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort in The Bahamas, is a prestigious destination along 8 kilometers of pristine white sand beaches on Paradise Island. Surrounded by 35 acres of Versailles-inspired gardens and lawns, it offers an exclusive retreat highlighted by Balinese-style spa villas, a renowned golf course, and fine dining by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. This iconic resort has a rich tradition of hosting luxury travelers with activities including water sports, golf, tennis, and spa relaxation.

Role Summary - Houseman

The Houseman plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within guestrooms, corridors, and the linen room, adhering to established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough cleaning of room baseboards at all times
• Move furniture to vacuum behind pieces inside rooms
• Remove and reinstall shower curtains following cleaning procedures
• Gather soiled linens and waste from room attendant carts for delivery to appropriate disposal locations
• Restock room attendant carts as needed
• Remove cobwebs from rooms and mop patios
• Vacuum designated all-day service and arrival rooms
• Set up futon beds and cribs upon guest requests; adjust bedding arrangements as necessary
• Clean sliding doors, window panes, and door tracks inside guestrooms
• Turn mattresses according to schedule to preserve condition
• Sweep and mop patios; clean railings, furniture, and cushions routinely
• Spot-clean walls, doors, and woodwork within rooms as required
• Sweep and mop hallway areas in front of guestrooms
• Dust and clean mirrors, high surfaces, and doorframes in rooms
• Verify that all houseman equipment operates properly and promptly report any malfunctions to supervisors
