Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced BI Developer to join our team. This role suits a candidate who combines technical expertise with a strong grasp of business needs and enjoys converting data into transparent, scalable, and user-friendly reporting products. The incumbent will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to produce dashboards, reports, and visual data analyses that facilitate decision-making in key business sectors. The focus is on enhancing the business intelligence and reporting layer to ensure that data is presented consistently, clearly, and accessibly for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and improve dashboards, reports, and visual analytic tools used by management, compliance, and operations teams.
- Convert business requirements into scalable, user-centric BI solutions leveraging reliable and well-organized data sources.
- Develop data visualizations targeting critical business segments such as client acquisition, retention strategies, lifetime customer value, trading activities, and revenue metrics.
- Facilitate self-service reporting capabilities that empower stakeholders to obtain dependable insights more rapidly.
- Establish, document, and uphold reporting logic, key performance indicator (KPI) standards, and business rules to ensure uniformity across reports.
- Generate routine and on-demand reports for management, compliance, regulatory needs, and audit processes.
- Conduct quality checks of reports for correctness, coherence, and user-friendliness, and suggest enhancements for data representation and interpretation.
- Work closely with technology and data teams to express reporting needs clearly, identify any data gaps, and assist in the ongoing refinement of analytics solutions.
- Enhance dashboard outcomes by optimizing performance, usability, and the overall experience of end users.
- Provide support to end users to help them understand and effectively use the reporting tools and dashboards.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum two years of practical experience in BI development, reporting analysis, data analysis, or related roles, preferably in financial services with familiarity in CFD/Forex brokerage sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of CFD products, financial markets, and metrics related to trading businesses.
- Proficiency in advanced SQL querying for data retrieval and validation of reports.
- Strong expertise in BI and data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalents.
- Skill in designing user-friendly, clear, and scalable dashboards and reports intended for business users.
- Understanding of data warehousing principles, reporting frameworks, and the interaction of BI layers with backend data systems.
- Capacity to collect, refine, and translate business needs into actionable reporting solutions.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Cooperative disposition with demonstrated success in working collaboratively across departments including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated financial environments.
- Acquaintance with compliance, audit, and regulatory reporting protocols.
- Background in fostering self-service BI environments along with governance of reporting.
- Academic qualifications in quantitative fields such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Finance.
