Position Overview

The Bartender plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and successful operation of the bar, maintaining hotel standards and contributing to profitability by delivering exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the brand promise by providing outstanding guest service at all times.
• Offer excellent service to internal departments as needed and promptly resolve guest and internal inquiries or complaints with courtesy and efficiency.
• Maintain positive interactions and good working relationships with guests and colleagues.
• Build rapport with guests to foster strong customer relationships.
• Ensure brand standards and operational procedures are adhered to and consumer audit feedback is addressed.
• Collaborate flexibly with outlet associates and other hotel departments to support overall hotel success and guest satisfaction.
• Present menus and beverage lists, answer guest questions, and make food and drink recommendations.
• Take and serve orders promptly following established procedures.
• Be proficient with the Micros Computer System for processing orders.
• Maintain all food, beverage items, equipment, and outlet facilities according to departmental standards.
• Up-sell beverages to maximize revenue.
• Report operational issues to supervisors for resolution.
• Manage beverage stock, prepare mis-en-place, and ensure proper storage and polishing of glassware.
• Assist with bar stock inventory and request replenishments as needed.
• Perform cashier duties including verifying cash and credit card payments adhering to finance policies.
• Support Hyatt’s people philosophy by demonstrating company values and culture.
• Comply with all workplace policies on safety, hygiene, and fire regulations.
• Stay current with industry trends and attend all required trainings and meetings.
• Maintain high standards of grooming and punctuality, wearing correct uniform and name badge.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Certification in SMARTSERVE or equivalent.
• Food Handler Certification.
• At least one year of experience serving in a fast-paced bar or restaurant environment.
• Basic proficiency in Arabic is preferred.

Work Environment

Working locations include both indoor and outdoor food and beverage outlets.
