About The Role

Join a rapidly expanding engineering company focused on the Power and Industrial Electronics domain, specializing in the creation and production of highly efficient transformers. These transformers are designed for renewable energy projects, electric vehicle charging stations, and industrial automation systems. Our team is dedicated to developing advanced magnetic components that comply with international safety, thermal, and reliability criteria to serve original equipment manufacturers and system integrators domestically and for export.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and validate dry-type and oil-immersed transformers intended for industrial and grid-level applications, ensuring all designs meet IEC and Indian Standards.
  • Enhance transformer core and winding configurations by using Finite Element Analysis tools such as ANSYS Maxwell and FEMM to boost efficiency, minimize power losses, and optimally manage thermal conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with procurement and production departments to select appropriate materials including CRGO steel, copper or aluminum windings, and insulation systems; verify vendor sample quality.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation including detailed drawings, Bills of Materials, and testing protocols for both prototypes and large-scale manufacturing units.
  • Assist in analyzing field failures and devising design modifications to improve mean time between failures (MTBF) and decrease warranty claims.
  • Lead design evaluation meetings with interdisciplinary teams and clients to ensure project specifications align with performance, financial, and scheduling targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in ANSYS Maxwell for electromagnetic simulation
  • Experience using FEMM for finite element magnetic field modeling
  • Strong knowledge of transformer design principles and practices
  • Understanding and application of IEC standards for transformer manufacturing and testing
  • Familiarity with CRGO steel properties and usage in transformers
  • Expertise in copper and aluminum winding technologies
  • Competence in thermal management techniques for transformer design
  • Ability to specify materials accurately for procurement and production
