Prompt Engineer

Overview

The role of Prompt Engineer involves expertly crafting and refining prompts to enhance the quality and effectiveness of outputs within diverse client applications. This position is based in Jaipur and requires a candidate experienced in large language model (LLM) technologies and prompt engineering techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, test, and improve prompt strategies to achieve high-quality, consistent, and efficient results tailored to various client scenarios.
• Collaborate intimately with AI and engineering teams to integrate prompt designs seamlessly into system architectures and workflows.
• Conduct systematic experiments involving prompt variations, chaining, few-shot, and zero-shot methodologies to identify impactful improvements.
• Recognize and address typical challenges such as hallucination, inconsistent responses, and risks like prompt injection within use cases.
• Convert business and functional needs into robust prompt design patterns and templates for repeated usage.
• Provide clear and succinct experimental reports to facilitate decision-making regarding further investments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must hold a formal certification as a Prompt Engineer; general AI or software engineering certifications are insufficient.
• Proven practical experience in designing, testing, and optimizing prompts within live projects or pilots involving LLM-driven applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of LLM behaviors, including context window limitations, tokenization processes, and familiar with prompting strategies like few-shot prompting, chain-of-thought reasoning, and retrieval-augmented methods.
• Self-directed work approach capable of delivering measurable results within constrained timelines.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills to effectively report on experimental outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous involvement in experimental or innovation lab environments with stringent deadlines.
• Understanding of enterprise AI platforms and methods for integration.
• Exposure to agentic AI systems and multi-step reasoning approaches.
