Job Opportunity Overview

We are looking for an eager and dedicated GIS Installation & Commissioning (I&C) Supervisor to join our team. This role involves overseeing all activities related to the successful installation, repair, and fault resolution of switching systems. You will handle high voltage systems installation globally for PGHV, representing the process group through your technical expertise and on-site presence. Meeting project deadlines while maintaining cost efficiency and adhering to quality assurance principles under construction site conditions is essential. You will ensure all assigned installation and commissioning responsibilities are performed to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently performing installation and maintenance tasks.
• Ensuring all installation guidelines and accident prevention protocols, especially those related to working with live system components, are strictly followed.
• Updating red-mark drawings and documentation to reflect any required changes during installation.
• Advising the subcontractor's installation superintendent on workforce planning and coordination to meet schedules.
• Collaborating with the PG Project Manager to report on completed and pending work status.
• Inspecting incoming materials for completeness and damage, managing material handling in cooperation with subcontractor material control teams.
• Issuing non-conformance reports when equipment under PG's supply is damaged or missing, working alongside the PG Project Manager.
• Overseeing final installation, commissioning tests, and completion documentation.
• Supervising and coordinating loop check activities and participating in site meetings as requested by the Project Manager.
• Ensuring competent execution of all assigned duties.
• Carrying out additional tasks assigned by management to meet job requirements.
• Maintaining compliance with all external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
• Upholding the core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for personal actions and supporting colleagues and business interests.

Preferred Background

• Possess a bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Have 2 to 5 years of preferred experience in GIS.
• Experience with SF6 gas handling and knowledge of PGHV Transmission & Sub-transmission GIS products is advantageous.
• Competent in professional use of MS Project software.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
