Process Operator

The Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SIIG) partners with Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC through the wholly owned affiliate Arabian Chevron Phillips Petrochemical Company (ACP). They have joint ventures including Saudi Chevron Phillips Company (SCP), Jubail Chevron Phillips Company (JCP), and Saudi Polymers Company (SPCo) located in the Eastern Province Industrial City of Al-Jubail. Job Purpose

This role involves operating and maintaining process plant equipment to help meet production objectives safely, efficiently, and reliably. Operations should align with daily plans and quality standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and implement risk mitigation to ensure the safety of yourself and others working in the area.
• Correctly operate plant machinery to achieve production targets in accordance with daily operating and quality plans.
• Support basic frontline maintenance activities, including process sampling and testing duties.
• Assist in troubleshooting process irregularities during all operational phases including upset conditions.
• Prepare plant equipment and workspaces for mechanical maintenance and turnaround tasks.
• Continuously monitor process parameters like flow rates, temperatures, and pressures using meters and gauges.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all process operations.
• Maintain close communication with shift leaders and head operators to keep all informed of current activity and status updates.
• Utilize hazard identification skills to ensure safe equipment handover to maintenance teams.
• Implement and follow weekly preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
• Participate actively in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) sessions.
• Commit fully to environmental, safety, health, and quality policies to ensure compliance and product/service excellence.
• Take ownership of operational excellence responsibilities as defined in relevant schedules.
• Contribute toward continuous improvement initiatives in the assigned area.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by shift leadership.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret business, technical, and regulatory documents, draft reports and procedures, and effectively present information to various stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma-level academic credentials.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience operating process equipment.
