Key Responsibilities

• Offer personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities both in their homes and communities
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, personal hygiene, and transportation
• Encourage and facilitate engagement in social and community events like shopping and group activities
• Support individuals in reaching personal milestones and celebrate their achievements
• Promote autonomy, self-advocacy, and personal choice
• Keep accurate records on care provided, activities conducted, and progress made
• Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent and high-quality support

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Clear background check and successful completion of required training
• Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and proof of insurance (primary or secondary)
• Capability to work safely and respectfully within clients’ homes and communities
• Exhibit compassion, dependability, and a commitment to positively impact lives

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism, including familiarity with implementing Individual Activity Support Plans and Plans of Service and Supports
• Knowledge of behavior support techniques such as redirection, visual cues, and modifying environments
