Help at Home is actively recruiting compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within their homes and communities. Key Responsibilities
- Offer personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities both in their homes and communities
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, personal hygiene, and transportation
- Encourage and facilitate engagement in social and community events like shopping and group activities
- Support individuals in reaching personal milestones and celebrate their achievements
- Promote autonomy, self-advocacy, and personal choice
- Keep accurate records on care provided, activities conducted, and progress made
- Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent and high-quality support
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Clear background check and successful completion of required training
- Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and proof of insurance (primary or secondary)
- Capability to work safely and respectfully within clients’ homes and communities
- Exhibit compassion, dependability, and a commitment to positively impact lives
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism, including familiarity with implementing Individual Activity Support Plans and Plans of Service and Supports
- Knowledge of behavior support techniques such as redirection, visual cues, and modifying environments

Minimum education
Higher Secondary (Class 12)
