About the Role
Anabolic Mechanics seeks a dedicated and skilled 3D Modeling & 3D Printer Operator to join their team on-site in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will bring creativity and technical proficiency to develop physical prototypes by transforming digital 3D concepts into tangible products using additive manufacturing techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and update 3D models for both prototyping and manufacturing purposes.
- Prepare digital files for 3D printing through tasks like slicing and printer configuration.
- Operate various 3D printers while continuously monitoring production.
- Carry out printer calibrations, routine setup, cleaning, and minor maintenance tasks.
- Identify and resolve issues causing print failures to enhance output quality.
- Perform post-processing work to finish printed parts appropriately.
- Support rapid prototyping efforts and contribute to product development processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience using 3D modeling and CAD software applications.
- Hands-on experience with operating 3D printing equipment.
- Familiarity with slicing software integral to printing preparation.
- Solid understanding of various 3D printing materials and manufacturing workflows.
- Capability to troubleshoot mechanical and printing challenges effectively.
- Comfort working with physical tools, machinery, and prototype handling.
- Ability to independently juggle multiple print projects efficiently.
- Strong communication skills combined with effective problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with tools such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender, Rhino, or comparable software.
- Exposure to FDM/FFF-type 3D printing technologies.
- Insight into product design, engineering drawings, or mechanical component specifications.
- Background in prototyping, assembly work, or small-scale manufacturing environments.
- Portfolio showcasing previous 3D modeling and printing projects is advantageous.
