Job Summary
As a Room Inspector at Schulte Hospitality Group, you will play a key role in maintaining cleaning standards and ensuring the highest quality in guest suites and public areas. You will oversee room assignments, conduct inspections, and support housekeeping staff to meet established cleanliness and maintenance expectations.
Core Responsibilities
- Schedule room and cleaning tasks to guarantee adequate housekeeping coverage.
- Inspect assigned guest suites and public spaces to confirm cleanliness and good condition of furnishings, equipment, and linens.
- Perform housekeeping activities such as bed making, vacuuming, and general cleaning as needed.
- Monitor and update the status of rooms with discrepancies throughout your shift.
- Conduct random spot checks of rooms to ensure standards are consistently met.
- Provide feedback and coaching to housekeepers on identified issues and alert the Executive Housekeeper about maintenance needs.
- Manage daily opening and closing procedures by assigning rooms to attendants and ensuring all rooms are cleaned by shift end.
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: at least one year experience in a housekeeping role.
- Strong multitasking abilities to efficiently handle various duties.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to surpassing guest expectations.
- Knowledge and understanding of cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
