Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Event Project Manager to oversee the complete cycle of large-scale live events such as concerts, festivals, exhibitions, and theatrical productions across Qatar. This role involves managing every stage from initial concept to final post-event analysis while collaborating with marketing, ticketing, production, technical teams, sponsors, venues, and government bodies to ensure world-class event execution on schedule and within budget.
Key Duties
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, and executing events on-site.
- Maintain event timelines, create run sheets, and produce comprehensive post-event reports.
- Coordinate with marketing, creative approvals, and ticketing stakeholders on pricing, seating arrangements, and sales monitoring.
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, sponsors, venues, and government representatives.
- Manage budgets by tracking expenses, reconciling costs, obtaining vendor quotes, and handling purchase orders.
- Support production and technical teams with aspects like stage design, branding, activations, sound, lighting, rigging, and video setups.
- Supervise venue preparation, food and beverage operations, and ensure a high-quality guest experience during event days.
- Guarantee compliance with regional regulations by securing permits, licenses, insurance, and health & safety/risk plans.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Have 5 to 7+ years of experience managing major events (concerts, festivals, exhibitions, sports, or live theatrical shows) within the GCC region.
- Demonstrate strong skills in stakeholder engagement, budget management, and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and campaign analytics is beneficial.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are an asset.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during event times and willingness to travel as necessary.
- Must possess or quickly obtain a valid Qatar work visa/QID, a personal vehicle, and a driving license.
Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly remuneration of QAR 33,000, commensurate with experience.
- Daily per diem provided during on-site event work or travel.
- Transportation arranged during event operations at the venue.
- Rest days granted in compliance with Qatar labour laws, including additional leave following major event projects.
Additional Details
Location: Doha, Qatar
Contract Term: Immediate start through February 2027 with a strong possibility for extension into long-term assignments for upcoming 2027 events.
