About the Role
As a Dispenser at Boots UK, you will play a crucial role within the pharmacy team to assist pharmacists and healthcare professionals in providing safe, efficient pharmaceutical services. You will engage with customers, manage prescriptions, dispense medicines, and offer informed guidance on health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescriptions ensuring medicine safety through ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collection processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare colleagues to provide effective pharmacy services within the store.
- Offer advice and care to patients about their medications, referring complex issues to the pharmacist.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to maintain legal and safe dispensing practices.
- Stay up to date with operational improvements and innovations to enhance pharmacy services.
- Assist patients in managing prescriptions for better medicine adherence and waste reduction.
- Utilize evolving in-store technologies to improve dispensing efficiency and patient safety.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or completion of first year of MPharm degree.
- Valid UK right to work status is mandatory; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not available.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.

This role is physically located within a Boots store in the UK; remote candidates or those without valid UK work authorization will not be considered.
