About the Role
As a Dispenser at our store, you will be an essential part of the pharmacy team, assisting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective pharmacy services. Working within the healthcare department, your duties include managing patient prescriptions, dispensing medicines safely, and providing healthcare advice, always focusing on patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately, ensuring the safe supply of medicines including activities such as ordering, labelling, endorsing, and managing prescription collection.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to manage and provide pharmacy services efficiently.
- Offer patients informed advice regarding medicines and direct complex queries to the pharmacist.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for safe and lawful dispensing.
- Stay informed about innovations and operational procedures within store to continually improve services.
- Help patients manage their medications through repeat prescriptions and support adherence to reduce waste.
- Engage with evolving dispensing technologies that enhance safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Completion of Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification or equivalent, or have finished the first year of an MPharm qualification.
- Valid UK right to work status; note this role does not support Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.

Additional Information
This in-store position is based in the UK, applicants outside the UK will only be considered if they have relevant UK qualifications and right to work. Candidates must complete a pre-employment background check appropriate to their location, such as DBS, PVG, or Access NI.

The hourly wage starts at £13.92 and may increase up to £16.64 depending on the store location, including select sites in London.
