Role Overview
The company is looking to appoint an experienced Specifications Manager for the roofing sector to expand Sika's foothold in the New Zealand roofing market.
Key Responsibilities
- Seek out and cultivate new roofing specification prospects throughout New Zealand.
- Forge and nurture connections with architects, consultants, engineers, developers, and pivotal decision makers.
- Advocate and obtain specifications for Sika roofing systems in significant projects.
- Participate in early stages of project designs to optimize specification chances.
- Collaborate closely with sales units to convert specifications into profitable transactions.
- Develop and sustain a solid project pipeline using Salesforce.
- Offer technical support and product details to specification stakeholders.
- Keep track of industry movements, competitor actions, and new prospects.
- Represent Sika at professional events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Assist in advancing roofing solutions by identifying market demands and customer expectations.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Demonstrated background in specification sales, business development, or technical sales within construction, preferably focused on roofing.
- Familiarity with roofing, waterproofing, building envelope, or related construction systems.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional networks.
- Experience interacting with architects, consultants, engineers, contractors, or project stakeholders.
- Commercially driven attitude with a history of influencing project results.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience using CRM tools, notably Salesforce.
- Valid New Zealand driver's license.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel across New Zealand as needed.
