Role Summary

We are seeking a visionary Lead Applied Scientist with a robust technical background and leadership skills to pioneer advanced AI research and oversee the creation of transformative deep-learning and generative AI technologies. This role involves crafting next-generation AI architectures, steering innovative projects, and mentoring interdisciplinary teams to fulfill Inception42's mission.

Primary Responsibilities

• Steer the strategic direction of Inception’s applied AI research by identifying cutting-edge technologies that reinforce the company’s regional leadership in AI.
• Design and supervise the development of sophisticated generative and deep-learning models encompassing multiple data modalities such as vision, language, audio, and sensor inputs.
• Lead and motivate a team of scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and high standards to achieve research and development targets.
• Collaborate integrally with product management, engineering teams, and business units to translate research innovations into deployable AI solutions and market-ready products.
• Ensure efficiency, reliability, and scalability in AI model deployment through comprehensive testing, optimization, and operational best practices.
• Act as an ambassador for Inception in external engagements like conferences and partnerships with academia and industry to promote thought leadership.
• Measure project outcomes based on innovation impact, deployment performance, intellectual property creation, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI-related fields, with expertise in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, or Multimodal AI.
• At least 10 to 12 years of professional experience in AI research and product development, including a minimum of 3 years leading research and development teams or significant AI initiatives.
• Proven capability in architecting and deploying large-scale AI models and systems.
• Strong portfolio of research achievements such as publications, patents, or industry innovations.
• Preferred deep familiarity with emerging AI technologies—including foundational models, generative architectures, and reasoning frameworks.
• Excellent strategic planning, project management, leadership abilities, and communication skills to manage stakeholders effectively.
• Experience turning research concepts into commercial AI products from conception through deployment.
