Role Overview

We seek a Director of Product Technology for Platforms to spearhead the advancement and commercialization of our shared agentic-AI platform. This role focuses on evolving cutting-edge AI capabilities into secure, dependable, and scalable solutions for enterprise and government clients, bridging product vision with engineering excellence from early validation to large-scale deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy and execution plans for the shared agentic-AI platform.
• Advance platform architecture including agent runtime, orchestration, tool execution, governance frameworks, APIs, identity management, multi-tenancy, security protocols, and sovereign deployments.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data & AI teams to mature models, agents, and prototypes into secure, user-friendly, well-observed, and maintainable platform features that meet customer needs.
• Lead integration approaches ensuring interoperability with strategic technology partners and ecosystems.
• Implement and uphold robust engineering standards across development, deployment, and production supported by automation, monitoring, rollback capabilities, and clear operational responsibility.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering, data science, security, and design teams to ensure the necessary capabilities and resources are in place to meet roadmap goals.
• Enhance platform reliability, scalability, security, and economics in various deployment environments including enterprise, sovereign, hybrid, and client-controlled settings.
• Drive technical and product quality improvements through rigorous reviews, expectation setting, coaching, and shared engineering best practices.
• Utilize operational data, incident reports, customer input, and usage metrics for continuous platform and roadmap refinement.

Candidate Qualifications

• Extensive senior leadership experience in product-engineering roles building complex enterprise platforms, developer tools, or multi-tenant SaaS solutions.
• Strong practical expertise in system architecture, design reviews, code evaluations, and troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, API design, identity and security frameworks, multi-tenancy, reliability engineering, observability, and live system operations.
• Proven experience delivering AI-driven products with familiarity in agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), evaluation methods, grounding techniques, safety considerations, latency reduction, and cost management.
• History of managing products through all stages—from discovery and prototyping through launch, operation, iteration, and scaling.
• Exceptional product insight, emphasizing user and developer workflows, usability, adoption metrics, and delivering measurable business value.
• A demonstrated ability to lead across teams and departments, navigating complex technical and commercial decision-making.
• Skilled at bringing clarity and structure in ambiguous settings while maintaining agile progress without excessive processes.
• Excellent communication skills tailored to engineers, researchers, executives, customers, and strategic partners.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with agent platforms, copilots, workflow systems, developer platforms, and API ecosystems.
• Experience in regulated, sovereign, government, hybrid cloud, or on-premise deployment environments.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation techniques, model monitoring, inference optimization, capacity planning, financial operations (FinOps), or cost governance.
• Track record of managing product engineering teams across multiple geographic locations.
