Cloud Engineer

Position Overview

The role involves integration within the Platform Services team focusing on cloud and container-based platforms. The engineer will manage global production services and project execution across web and application services, Cloud Platforms such as AWS and GCP, as well as Docker and Kubernetes clusters.

Key Responsibilities

• Support operations for global production services under Platform Services.
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and stability of services within assigned technical domains.
• Provide technical expertise for managed workloads including incident resolution, problem management, service requests, and change control.
• Collaborate with development, project, and business teams to interpret requirements and contribute to deliverables.
• Foster continuous improvement of the production environment through automation, performance optimization, and maintenance of best practices.
• Analyze production platforms to detect and fix performance challenges.
• Develop cooperative relationships across teams to meet shared objectives.
• Engage in DevOps practices including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Continuous Testing, Monitoring, and Compliance.
• Manage and enhance middleware platforms and their integrations.
• Create self-service interfaces and associated workflows.
• Take ownership of specialized roles within strategic projects and initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Between 5 to 8 years of experience with technologies such as:
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, Terraform
  • Container Platforms: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Scripting languages: Java, Unix Shell, Bash, Python, PowerShell
  • Middleware Technologies: Websphere, JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, Apache, Kafka
• Strong understanding of ITIL Service Management practices including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Knowledge of Large Language Models and AI architecture patterns like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic models, and Multi-Context Processing (MCP).
• Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, ElasticSearch, Rundeck, GIT.
• Familiarity with monitoring and data analytics tools including Nagios, OMI, ServiceNow, Geneos.
• Willingness to work in shifts and provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal abilities, and logical reasoning skills.
• Customer-service orientation and strong team collaboration attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Cloud and DevOps engineering roles.
• Background in banking or financial institutions.
• Proficiency in the French language.
