Cyber Defense - Data & Cloud Security Manager

About the Role

This managerial position demands expertise in leading security teams to design and implement cybersecurity solutions, manage incident responses, handle budgets, comply with policies and regulations, and oversee security technologies that enhance enterprise-wide security.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Cybersecurity operations focusing on Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data protection, and cloud security governance.
• Manage security tool governance and ensure control effectiveness to maintain compliance on data protection and cloud security controls.
• Drive security control programs including DLP, data security governance, and cloud security operations through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and execute cybersecurity strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory standards.
• Understand and manage data security governance control lifecycles such as data discovery, encryption, classification, labeling, activity monitoring, posture management, and data masking for both structured and unstructured data.
• Provide expert guidance on risk remediation, technology security issues, including cloud, data storage, and access governance.
• Participate in security architecture reviews, control assessments, and support audit processes.
• Oversee vendor management and governance to ensure SLA compliance, dashboard readiness, and effective reporting to leadership.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and team-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or CISA are highly desirable.
• Minimum 8 years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven success in implementing cybersecurity strategies and governance in complex, fast-paced environments.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and best practices.
