Role Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Store & Receiving Associate to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. This position is pivotal in ensuring seamless warehouse and inventory management by handling incoming shipments, maintaining precise records, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Effective communication with suppliers and internal teams is essential to ensure accuracy and quality in inventory processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect inbound shipments, verifying their accuracy against purchase orders and related documents.
- Maintain detailed receiving logs and accurately input inventory data into warehouse management systems.
- Organize and store products in designated areas following safety protocols and organizational standards.
- Perform quality checks to detect damaged, defective, or incorrect products.
- Ensure storage, aisles, and receiving areas are clean and orderly.
- Prepare shipping documentation and generate inventory reports as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to manage delivery schedules and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile differences to maintain data accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks when applicable.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company policies to guarantee a secure workplace.
- Support cycle counts and periodic inventory audits.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven background in warehouse operations, inventory management, or receiving roles.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail with precise data entry and record-keeping capabilities.
- Competent with basic computer use and warehouse management software.
- Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication skills for following instructions both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of inventory control protocols and best practices.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), forklift certification or willingness to obtain it, and experience conducting inventory audits and cycle counts.
