Role Overview
The position of Site Supervisor for HVAC projects is a full-time, on-location role based in Guwahati, Assam. The incumbent is tasked with supervising the day-to-day installation, commissioning, and upkeep of HVAC systems at various project sites. Responsibilities include close coordination with project engineers, contractors, and clients to assure that work is accomplished safely, promptly, and aligned with design requirements and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
The supervisor is accountable for monitoring site progress, managing resources and materials, resolving technical and operational challenges, and ensuring adherence to applicable codes, safety standards, and corporate protocols. Additional duties involve assessing technical drawings, directing technicians, maintaining detailed documentation such as work reports and checklists, and aiding in the inspection and testing of HVAC installations. This role demands proactive communication and frequent updates to project leadership, coupled with a dedication to enhancing site procedures and client satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates should possess a robust mechanical engineering background with familiarity in HVAC systems, components, and installation techniques. Skills in engineering and project management are necessary to effectively plan, organize, and oversee resources, schedules, and deliverables at site. Leadership abilities to manage technical teams and subcontractors, assigning tasks while promoting a safe and cooperative work environment, are essential. Proficiency in CAD software for interpreting technical drawings and layouts is required.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in HVAC site supervision, preferably within commercial or industrial project settings. A good understanding of safety norms, regional regulations, and mechanical construction best practices is important. Strong communication and report preparation skills to professionally engage with clients, suppliers, and internal teams are expected. A diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields is required; additional certifications in HVAC or project management are beneficial.
