Role Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and continuously enhance platforms for content governance, tools for anti-abuse, and operational content management solutions.
• Lead the seamless integration of recommendation systems with governance features, ensuring pipelines for governance are efficient, stable, and scalable.
• Collaborate closely with governance and product teams to enable features supporting content review, risk detection, and enforcement of policies.
• Establish and implement content takedown protocols; actively engage in adversarial defenses, evaluate system effectiveness, and refine rules accordingly.
• Develop and fine-tune content governance rule engines enhancing rule configuration, gradual deployment, retrospective assessment, and streamline operational management.
• Deliver systematic governance frameworks addressing spam, traffic diversion, substandard content, fraudulent schemes, and dubious market activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong programming proficiency in Java or Go with comprehensive system design and development expertise.
• Good knowledge of distributed systems and architectural patterns such as microservices, alongside familiarity with message queues, caching techniques, and relational databases.
• Insight into content governance mechanisms including workflows in content review, risk detection, policy implementation, and performance measurement.
• Experience with rule engines or policy administration platforms capable of translating governance needs into adaptable system features.
• Awareness of challenges common to content ecosystems, governance strategies, risk assessment, and adversarial considerations.
• Excellent communication skills facilitating effective partnership with cross-functional teams including product, operations, algorithms, and business units.

Preferred Experience

• Background in recommendation systems, engineering recommendation algorithms, or managing content distribution networks.
• Prior involvement in content safety, anti-fraud technologies, risk management, or combating black/gray market adversarial threats.
• Hands-on experience creating scalable content governance platforms, rule-based engines, or policy operation systems.
• Knowledge of applying machine learning techniques for content evaluation, risk prediction, or recommendation governance.
