Role Overview
As a part of the Ward Service Associate (WSA) team, the WSA Executive acts as a vital link ensuring superior patient care and operational efficiency within the wards. This role involves collaboration with supervisors and nursing teams to maintain smooth daily functioning, manage resources, and lead quality improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as an integral member of the WSA team to maintain exemplary service quality and patient care standards.
- Work closely with ward supervisors and colleagues to facilitate seamless ward operations and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Manage inventory and ensure sufficient ward supplies to support daily activities effectively.
- Plan and coordinate the assignment and scheduling of Ward Service Associates across various wards.
- Supervise WSAs to make sure patients’ nutritional and dietary requirements are met in line with established protocols.
- Receive direction from leadership including supervisors and department heads to uphold operational and service quality.
- Lead and engage in initiatives aimed at improving service quality and operational workflows.
- Oversee nursing-related projects from conception through execution, acting as a project manager or equivalent.
- Support nursing events through planning, organization, execution, and follow-up activities.
- Carry out additional tasks as needed to meet operational demands.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrate a strong service orientation coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exhibit self-motivation, independence, proactivity, and resourcefulness to succeed in a dynamic environment.
- Showcase practical problem-solving skills and emerging leadership capabilities to guide a team effectively.
- Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Develop and sustain positive relationships with Nursing teams and engage effectively with staff across all hierarchy levels.
