Mid-Level Software Developer

Role Overview

DOCOsoft is looking for a dependable Mid-Level Software Developer to join their product engineering team working on a cloud-native SaaS platform built on Microsoft Azure. This position is ideal for a self-reliant engineer focused on producing well-defined features and services, emphasizing code quality, maintainability, and security by design. Working within a modern microservices setup, you will also be involved in continuous delivery processes and have opportunities to grow towards senior levels with greater system responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop features in a microservices environment using modern .NET technologies.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs ensuring they are secure, reliable, and support backward compatibility as needed.
• Deploy updates via established CI/CD pipelines, maintaining high standards for quality and safe releases.
• Develop effective unit and integration tests to ensure code safety and maintainability.
• Produce clean, clear, and well-structured code, performing refactors to enhance performance and clarity.
• Engage actively in code reviews and technical dialogues to elevate engineering quality.
• Implement observability practices through logging, metrics, and tracing in live production environments.
• Diagnose and fix bugs using systematic debugging strategies.
• Contribute to system-wide considerations for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Provide practical technical insights during refinement and estimation phases, identifying potential risks early.
• Support improvements in engineering tooling, automation, and shared best practices.

Requirements

• Professional experience in software development within a team creating production-level systems.
• Proficiency in C# with experience in modern .NET frameworks (version 6 or newer).
• Hands-on with Web API development using ASP.NET and REST architectural principles.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server and fundamental data modeling.
• Experience writing unit tests with xUnit, NUnit, or comparable tools, and general integration testing understanding.
• Solid grasp of Git workflows utilizing pull requests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated builds and deployments.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other comparable cloud platforms.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Preferred: experience with Docker, containerization, and caching strategies.
