Position Overview

Goodhood seeks a dependable and proactive Maintenance Assistant to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of its store, café, and warehouse areas. This hands-on position involves detailed cleaning tasks as well as elementary maintenance and repairs, requiring someone who values meticulous work and is eager to actively contribute across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive daily deep cleaning of the café before opening hours.
• Clean and sanitize café restrooms thoroughly, including sinks, floors, mirrors, and surfaces.
• Maintain exemplary hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the café environment.
• Regularly clean floors, fixtures, surfaces, and other required café areas.
• Manage waste disposal responsibly and empty bins as needed.
• Spot and communicate any maintenance, hygiene, or safety concerns immediately.
• Keep the retail store consistently clean, orderly, and presentable by routine cleaning of floors, windows, fixtures, and staff areas.
• Execute extra cleaning tasks after busy periods, deliveries, or special events.
• Ensure the warehouse remains tidy and safe by cleaning floors and workspaces, maintaining clear walkways, and performing organizational duties.
• Conduct deeper cleaning operations as necessary in the warehouse.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as touch-up painting, repairing cosmetic damages, and fixing or replacing small fixtures and fittings.
• Proactively identify issues needing specialist attention and report them promptly.
• Contribute to preserving the overall condition of premises, furniture, and equipment.
