Job Location and Employment Details

This dishwasher role is based at Boise State University, located at 1910 W University Drive, Boise, ID, 83725. The position is full-time with a typical workweek from Monday through Friday, though exact hours may vary and will be discussed during the interview process.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils. Key duties include manually or mechanically washing and sanitizing all dishware and cookware, polishing silverware using various cleaning equipment, and ensuring all safety protocols and sanitation standards are strictly followed.

• Scrape and rinse food residues from dishware before washing by hand or using dishwashing machines.
• Clean pots, pans, and trays per established procedures ensuring thorough sanitation.
• Polish silverware using tools such as burnishing tumblers, chemical dips, buffing wheels, or hand cloths depending on assigned methods.
• Monitor and maintain chemical levels and temperature standards necessary for cleaning operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout dishwashing areas and kitchen floors by sweeping, mopping, and washing surfaces including tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Handle trash disposal accurately including steam cleaning or hosing out garbage bins.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas; assist in loading and unloading deliveries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support kitchen operations.

Candidate Requirements and Preferences

Although prior experience of six months in dishwashing is preferred, it is not mandatory as training will be provided. The employer encourages applications from candidates ready to learn and grow within the role.

Compensation and Benefits
