About the Role
Intralox, a division of Laitram, L.L.C., is seeking an Assembly Module Cutter for its conveyor belt manufacturing. This role involves precisely cutting plastic modules to fulfill customer orders in a dynamic, team-oriented setting. The position operates on the first shift from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, within an air-conditioned, modern manufacturing environment in New Orleans, LA.

Key Responsibilities
- Precisely cut plastic modules for conveyor belts based on customer specifications and orders.
- Adhere strictly to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Strive to meet or surpass established productivity benchmarks for the assigned work area.
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards and conform to required specifications.
- Learn the operation of cutting equipment and manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently.
- Take responsibility for assigned equipment by monitoring its performance, addressing minor issues following training, and escalating significant problems to supervisors or maintenance teams.
- Identify and report any unusual machine behaviors or equipment malfunctions promptly to leadership or maintenance personnel.
- Assist with basic equipment adjustments and troubleshooting under training guidance.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in the work area through routine housekeeping.
- Demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and consistent attendance.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and manage tasks independently when required.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors about workflow, quality concerns, or equipment issues.
- Be available to work overtime and weekend shifts as needed to meet production demands.
- Comply with the Assembly department’s attendance policies.
Mechanical Aptitude Expectations
- Capable of learning and operating basic manufacturing equipment.
- Able to perform simple adjustments to equipment and tooling following training.
- Recognize abnormal equipment conditions and promptly communicate problems.
- Open to learning troubleshooting and machine setup basics.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Good hand-eye coordination coupled with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic mathematical and communication abilities.
- Physical capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Able to stand for prolonged intervals during work shifts.
