Senior Solutions Architect

Overview

In this senior role, you will lead the end-to-end life cycle of designing strategic enterprise technology solutions—from initial discovery and evaluation through final delivery—spanning varied technologies and challenging client settings. Collaboration with architects and technical leaders is essential to guide architectural decisions across projects of all sizes. Additionally, you will shape company-wide architecture standards and help develop architectural expertise to create scalable, resilient solutions that deliver significant business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with technical and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into executable, scalable technology strategies and solution architectures that closely align with customer objectives and minimize delivery risks.
• Create and document comprehensive solution architectures addressing infrastructure, security, integration, and scalability, ensuring firm adherence to organizational standards and client expectations alongside enterprise stakeholders.
• Lead architectural activities and services such as Discovery and Assessment, coordinating efforts among project teams and stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent architectural guidance and alignment.
• Supervise solution implementation, providing mentorship to technical teams to maintain alignment with original architectural designs, technical standards, and business goals through the project lifecycle.
• Define and enforce engineering and architecture standards, best practices, policies, and procedures across projects to standardize solution quality, maintainability, and reliability.
• Perform architectural risk evaluations throughout solution lifecycles to identify vulnerabilities and design mitigation plans, enhancing robustness and lowering operational and security risks.
• Mentor architects and technical staff, sharing knowledge, advising on best practices, and fostering professional growth to raise technical competence within projects.
• Provide senior leadership in extensive architectural transformation initiatives, ensuring coherent and scalable technology strategies align between enterprise and project levels.
• Collaborate with Project Leadership to establish secure data management processes covering data acquisition, exchange, storage, retention, and deletion during projects, ensuring compliance with contractual and company policies.
• Implement off-boarding and project closure procedures applying data retention and deletion policies to guarantee secure handling of customer data post-project.
• Adhere strictly to company privacy and data protection policies in all architectural activities to safeguard customer data and comply with regulatory and contractual requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Certified as Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Software Architecture Professional and TOGAF Standard certification holder.
• Proven expertise with at least one major cloud platform, supported by certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional), Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
• Advanced knowledge of modern software and system architecture principles for complex, large-scale enterprise systems.
• Deep understanding of architecture methodologies, frameworks, and patterns applicable in diverse business and technical sectors.
• Strong proficiency in cloud computing services, data storage technologies, security protocols, and modern app development frameworks.
• Extensive experience evaluating and selecting technologies balancing scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and cost-efficiency for complex solutions.
• Skilled in architectural design and modeling, including creating detailed diagrams, models, and comprehensive documentation for distributed systems.
• Experienced in governing architectural documentation and maintaining compliance with organizational and industry standards.
• Leadership experience involving cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders to successfully implement architectural visions.
• Mentor and coach architects and technical leaders fostering continuous architectural excellence and professional development.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and staying current with technology trends and architecture best practices.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of explaining complex architectural ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excelling in teamwork, and building consensus among diverse groups.

• Optional qualifications include foundational Java certifications (SCJP, SCJD, SCWCD, SCBCD, or SCDJWS), Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCTS, MCPD), or IBM SOA certification with familiarity in service-oriented architecture practices.
